I have been to Nashville several times. I love the energy of the city as well as the friendliness of the locals. Coming from Pennsylvania it is a refreshing change of pace.
First off a disclaimer, I will take ANY excuse to go to Nashville!
Let me start by saying again that I DO NOT own a car wash but just like the NRCC show in Atlantic City I make connections as a detailer. There are many brands at these car wash shows that also serve the detailing industry and I...
I agree that the Flex is a great tool as well. I have tried them out but for the price point and my needs I went a grade lower, but I will never be able to knock the Flex brand. I also believe that the battery holds up better in the Flex too.
I actually enjoy using my m18 Milwaukee polisher. Depending on the work I usually run through 2 batteries per vehicle.
It provides enough power for wool cutting and the variable speed makes it nice for foam finishing work.
What’s your thoughts on cordless in the detailing industry?
Hi all, When I was that the car wash convention in Atlantic City a few months ago I was able to talk with a few Gliptone reps and explained to them that I was a detailer interested in their products. They kindly gave me a sample bottle of their "Graphene Black" Trim Restoration Coating to take...
I really liked it. Simple to use and easy to control the application. I left the vehicle out in the sun for a few days to check out how it held up and the fade didn’t come back. It’s a rainy day today so I’m going to see how it looks once it dries again but as of now I’m very impressed. I will...
I did visit Gliptone as well as Simoniz and Kleen-Rite with the intention of finding some information on products that I have been interested in. I absolutely love the microfiber products from Dr. Joe at Kleen-Rite. Gliptone gave me a sample of Graphene Black Trim Restoration Coating and I will...
Unfortunately not, they went for a quick break and they boy and his dad were gone by the time they had gotten back.
It would have made a great feature though.
Sorry I didn’t think of it when I was talking to them. It gave me a lot of hope for where our industry is headed.
I used NextDoor exclusively for a long time with great results.
I just posted in the classifieds section. I eventually switched to paid ads because I felt guilty that I got so much free business.
I like Nextdoor because I reached those in my direct community and there was no competition at first.
I just got home from the NRCC / Car Wash Convention in Atlantic City and even though it was designated for car wash owners I made some great connections and learned so much. I have attended the event before and will continue every year. This event had some good information for detailers too...
I really love paint correction! The buffing of black vehicles can be a big task for even the most experienced detailers but when the stars align, and it all just comes together this is what you get. There is no ceramic added. Just a multistage process of good wash, clay bar with decontamination...
I don’t have “employees” but have trained some of my family members and they help if I need it but as an independent I just need to have that hands on quality control. I would suggest the IDA forums first, the members there generally are skilled and take pride in the profession. Turn over is...
The tone at the convention today was exciting and both the exhibitors and attendees were engaged and there ready to pass along information and to learn.
I had the absolute pleasure to hang out at the your booth and met some really interesting people who love this industry. One of my highlights...
The Simoniz welcome party at the Hard Rock last night was amazing. Great food, drink and conversation. I made several great contacts just from that event.
The convention floor opens at 1 today. The excitement is building throughout the attendees waiting. Going to be fun.
